So the Wuhan virus (COVID-19)) according to cdc.gov is a new respiratory virus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province. While this virus seems to have emerged from an animal source, it is now spreading from person-to-person and through the respiratory tract.
Symptoms for patients with Wuhan virus include mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and difficulty breathing. There is no antiviral treatment recommended, infected patients receive supportive care to help relieve symptoms. Currently there is no vaccine available to protect against the Wuhan virus.
We have to be watchful, practice good personal hygiene, stay calm and use aromatherapy to keep the virus at bay.
Long before the Wuhan virus surfaced, I blended an Anti-flu blend with antiviral essential oils: Tea Tree, Sweet Orange, Spike Lavender, Eucalyptus, Thyme c/t linalool, Oregano and German Chamomile that provide natural immune and respiratory system support to help relieve symptoms of flu. This comes in a roll-on for use on the go.
For younger children below 3 years old, you can use a blend of Sweet Orange, Pine, Lavender and Tea Tree.
Drop about 10 to 15 drops in a personal inhaler and use it on the go if you do not like to use a roll on (I, personally, prefer a roll on). Alternatively if you are wearing a mask, you can place one drop in the mask. You can also use this for diffusing in the office or at home. To make your own natural hand sanitizer, add 20 drops to 50 ml of aloe vera gel or rubbing alcohol (you can buy this in the pharmacy and it is probably 70% alcohol).
My recommendation for a friend, whose husband is a pilot is to have a bottle each of the anti flu roll on and the anti flu essential oil blend.
Stay safe and be mindful everyone, get plenty of exercise and drink lots of water. Be socially responsible, do wear a mask and consult a doctor if you are unwell.
